C&S FARM INFO

C & S Farm was established in 1947, but the original white farm house, that is the future home of Little White House Apothecary, was built in 1904. My children are the 5th or 6th generation of this family to live on the farm. To talk about Little White House, is to talk about my family farm, because they are many times, one and the same.

Our farm has many different parts that make up one big farm family. Traditionally, we have grown tobacco, strawberries, grass hay, and raised livestock for beef ( Things that my Grandparents and my Daddy have managed my entire life. (If you know me, you know how much I look up to my dad. This life we live would be impossible without him.) We have a huge garden every summer, and have added goats, chickens, horses, and so much more over the years.

C & S Farm school is my mother's baby. It's a private school here on the farm, that not only teaches all of your state required standards, but also life skills. The kids plant seeds in the green house, have nature walks, learn to bake, are taught how to tend to animals, among many other extra subjects while keeping the one room school house atmosphere alive. Her school is the future of the farm, not only because of what she teaches, but also for who she teaches (My two boys!) You can learn more about her school at candsfarmschool.com

Little White House Apothecary is my baby, created in 2016, and rebranded in 2019. Many of the plants, herbs, and mushrooms that I use have been grown and foraged off of our land and farm. Bark, roots, and turkey tail are plentiful here and I am thankful for the land that we reside on. My future plans for this business are to have an actual physical shop, so that people can visit in person. My little white house (Yes! Thats where it got its name) Will be the home for this dream, and I hope to have it up in running in the next two years.

Another addition to the farm this year, is LWH Flower Farm. As long as I can remember, I have loved flowers. Growing them, buying them, or finding them in the woods, my love for pretty blooms has always been a constant. This year I am taking a leap and branching out into cut flower farming, and I am excited to share more about that with all of you soon!

I hope you've read and enjoyed this little expo. and will check back often, because you'll never know what we add next!
